Embarking on The Listening Journey
Called to Go: Listening to the Wild and the Wounded
What inspired the creation of The Listening Post was that we needed a way to document and share a journey sparked by something extraordinary: Monica was called by the animals. Not in metaphor, but in direct messages. She experienced a clear invitation---to go, to listen, and to share.
But this journey isn't only about animals. It's about people, too.
In Vietnam, Monica will meet with a veteran returning to places still echoing with the pain of war. Together, they’ll walk through landscapes that hold memory—of loss, of courage, of healing still needed. This is a journey of listening not just to the wild, but to the wounded. To the stories that live in people, in places, and in the spaces between.
Each post is a field note. A reflection. A moment of presence. Whether you’re spiritually curious or simply open to meaning, we invite you to walk with us. You don’t need to believe in magic. You just need to believe that healing is possible—when we listen.
Join us at The Listening Post from January 1–26, 2026 as we travel through Southeast Asia with intention and care:
Jan 5–11: At Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, listening to the wisdom of rescued elephants and the people who care for them.
Jan 12–18: Diving in the Mu Ko Similan National Park islands, where Monica will receive messages from ocean animals and the rhythms of the sea.
Jan 19–26: In Phan Rang, Vietnam, walking alongside a veteran who is returning to sites of war to write, remember, and heal.
This isn’t a travel blog. It’s a listening practice. A bridge between the skeptical and the sacred. And you’re invited as we share our insights along this journey. We'll post as often as internet connection allows! For now, we're heads down planning the trip and how best we can support our clients during the holidaze!
