Why I’ve Been Quiet

April 09, 20263 min read

I spent January in Thailand and Vietnam, communicating with elephants, ocean life, and many other beautiful animals and people. I had every intention of posting throughout the trip. I did for the first couple of days. Yet, quickly, the reality of what I was experiencing shifted everything.

Animal Communications Needed My Full Presence

After the first few days of acclimating, I realized that I was there for a very deep reason.
The animals were speaking- not in casual, everyday ways, but in profound transmissions that required my full presence, groundedness, and emotional capacity. I wasn’t just observing them. They had invited me into their private and wondrous world. They were sharing things that needed my complete attention, and I needed the space for me to process what they were sharing with me.

Trying to post in real time would have pulled me out of the very connection they brought me there to experience.

The Messages Were Not the Usual Animal Communication

Most people are familiar with animal communication in the context of:

  • “What can I do about my dog’s behavior and health?”

  • “What can stop my cat from peeing everywhere?”

  • “Why is my horse acting out?”

What the animals shared with me on this trip was something very different.

They spoke about:

  • The impact of human choices

  • The way animals think, feel, and exist

  • The intricacies in communication and the structure of nature

  • The sideline infinity and humanity’s role in breaking or repairing it

  • Personal messages for me about my path and responsibility

  • The state of the Earth

  • The suffering and resilience of their species

  • The ecosystem as a living consciousness

  • And most importantly- Love and Forgiveness

These messages carried the weight of grief and the beauty of hope. Hearing what they were relaying, I knew I had to get their messages out, but only when I was ready to relay them in the same way they relayed them with me- through presence, love, and forgiveness.

There were days I cried deeply after communicating with them. One night when my traveling slowed down and I had time and my own space; I went to sleep crying and woke up crying. I was processing their messages, relating to them and their struggles and letting go of the pain and suffering that they and I had been through as well as wondering how, just how could they be so forgiving and loving after so much suffering the humans had caused them?

I needed time to process what they shared before I could speak about it publicly coming from love, patience, and even laughter- the way they wanted me to share what they had told me.

The Animals Asked Us to Be Present

One of the clearest messages from the animals was about intention, being present, and returning to the slower and more aware pace of nature.

Their message is in direct contrast to the pace of social media: the constant posting and the expectation of “the next thing.” I am not here to use social media the way most people do. I’m here to share the animals’ messages in a way that honors them, not the platform.

I am continuing to use social media. I will use it with intention, and in alignment with the very teachings I’m being asked to give in the timing that is guided by the animals and my inner knowing, not by the pressures of social media and society.

Thank you for being part of this journey of reconnection to animals, to nature, and to ourselves.

With love,
